Two distinct dielectric relaxation mechanisms in the low-frequency range in Bi5TiNbWO15 ceramics

چکیده
The ac data in terms of impedance and dielectric loss tan were exploited simultaneously to probe the dielectric relaxation mechanisms in Bi5TiNbWO15 ceramics. It was found that two distinct relaxation mechanisms exist in the low-frequency range 10 Hz–5 MHz . One is attributed to the grain boundary relaxation and the other is associated with oxygen ion diffusion. Furthermore, the temperature dependence of the oxygen vacancy relaxation strength is analogous to the Curie-Weiss law and follows the traditional point defect relaxation theory. These results could be helpful to understand the phenomena related to ferroelectric fatigue, oxygen ion conductivity, etc. © 2006 American Institute of Physics. DOI: 10.1063/1.2191953

High Frequency Dielectric Relaxation in Lanthanum Modified PbTiO
Dielectric measurements of lanthanum modified lead titanate ceramics were carried out in a frequency and temperature range of 70 × 10 Hz – 2 × 10 Hz and 300 K 420 K, respectively. Dielectric relaxation appears around 7 × 10 Hz at room temperature, and the maximum of the dielectric relaxation was around 393 K, the transition temperature (T c ). The relaxation frequency passes through a minimum a...
متن کاملDielectric Relaxation in Ceramics with Intragrain Concentration Gradient
We created a material with a composition gradient within each grain. Due to the graded composition the ceramic does not show a sharp change in dielectric constant near the relaxation frequency. Instead, we observe gradual decrease in dielectric constant with frequency, with the loss tangent remaining practically unchanged (below 0.02 everywhere within the frequency range 0.0003-3 GHz). The tuna...
متن کاملDielectric relaxation and pinning phenomenon of (Sr,Pb)TiO3 ceramics for dielectric tunable device application
The behavior of ferroelectric domain under applied electric field is very sensitive to point defects, which can lead to high temperature dielectric relaxation behaviors. In this work, the phases, dielectric properties and ferroelectric switching behavior of strontium lead titanate ceramics were investigated. The structural characterization is confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The high dielectric ...
متن کاملStructural, Electrical, and impedance spectroscopy studies of Barium substituted nano calcium ferrites synthesized by solution combustion method.
Barium substituted nanocrystalline ferrites with chemical composition BaxCa1-xFe2O4 (x =0.0 to 0.25) BCAF were prepared by solution combustion method. The phase formation of mixed spinal structured ferrites was confirmed by PXRD analysis. The average crystallite size was calculated using Debye-Scherrer formula and it was found to be in the range of 27-44 nm. Surface morphology was analyzed by S...
متن کاملStudy of the Dielectric Relation and the Doping Effect on Conductivity in Lithium Tantalate
Ceramics Li0.98-xTa1.004-x/5NixO3 (LTN) samples have been prepared, for x∈ { } 0;0.01;0.02;0.05;0.08;0.15;0.2 . Ac impedance measurements were carried out in the frequency range 1Hz-1MHz and from 300°C to 900°C. The influence of Ni doping on dc conductivity was depicted. Through the ac impedance, dielectric constant was deduced and two dielectric relaxations have been clearly identified at high...
